01 / 04 — OVERVIEW
The Strand Pelletizer cuts cooled extrudate strands into uniform granules from 0.5 to 10 mm. Independent motor control on the feed rollers and the rotary blade allows precise tuning of pellet length independent of strand speed. A cooling trough with adjustable water temperature and residence time preconditions the strand for clean cutting. The pelletizer mounts directly downstream of any ZE-series extruder or film/fiber die, and integrates into the shared Siemens PLC for synchronized start/stop and speed-following operation.
