01 / 04 — OVERVIEW
The Hybrid Micro Compounder mounts interchangeable 5, 9, and 12 mm co-rotating twin-screw barrels on a single chassis. Switch between gram-scale screening and pre-production throughput without changing extruders — barrel changeover is tool-free and takes under five minutes. The frame accommodates the full torque range from 2.5 Nm (5 mm) through 20 Nm (12 mm) with a unified Siemens S7-1500 control platform. An optional recirculation channel extends residence time for demanding formulations that require longer mixing or reaction. All contact surfaces are 316L stainless.
